Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to design, deliver, and support professional audio and public address systems across a range of projects. The role spans pre-sales, system design, implementation, and post-project support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Sales & Solution Design
Engage clients to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
Develop system concepts, architectures, and support cost estimates and BOQs
Perform product selection and compatibility analysis, and value engineering
Provide technical expertise during tender and proposal stages
2. System Design & Documentation
Create detailed designs including signal flow, schematics, rack layouts, and cable schedules
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and project specifications
Coordinate with AV, IT, electrical, and architectural teams
3. Project Coordination
Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and site coordination
Manage vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance
Liaise with stakeholders and provide technical guidance
Support project planning and scheduling
4. Installation & Implementation Support
Oversee on-site installation to ensure alignment with design intent and quality standards
Troubleshoot issues and support system integration
Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements
5. Testing & Commissioning
Conduct testing, tuning, and calibration (e.g. SMAART, DSP configuration)
Optimize system performance and complete acceptance testin
Commission AV-over-IP systems and ensure network performance (e.g. Dante)
Produce detailed commissioning and test reports
6. Handover & Documentation
Deliver as-built documentation, user manuals, and training sessions
Ensure smooth system handover to clients and stakeholders
7. Post-Project Support
Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and system upgrades (remote/on-site)
Support service-level agreements (SLAs) and long-term client relationships
Key Requirements
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of professional audio systems (analog & digital: Dante, AES, AVB)
Strong understanding of AV-over-IP networking, including VLANs, QoS, and multicast
Experience with DSPs, mixers, amplifiers, and loudspeakers
Familiarity with control systems (e.g. Crestron, Q- loudspeakers SYS, Extron)
Experience with unified communications platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms)
Understanding of acoustics and sound system design
Familiarity with local standards and regulations (e.g. SCDF, BCA guidelines)
Familiarity with AV networking and protocols
Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, EASE, Revit, CATT
