Project Engineer – Audio Visual (AV)

Location: Singapore
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Project Engineer (AV) to support the delivery of professional Audio Visual and Integrated Systems projects in Singapore and the region. The successful candidate will be involved in the full project lifecycle including engineering, installation coordination, testing & commissioning, documentation, and client support.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in AV systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and delivery of AV, broadcast, and integrated technology projects

  • Prepare technical drawings, schematics, rack layouts, and system documentation

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams during project execution

  • Supervise onsite installation, testing, and commissioning activities

  • Configure and troubleshoot AV systems including:

    • Video distribution systems

    • Audio DSP systems

    • Control systems

    • LED display systems

    • Network-based AV solutions

  • Conduct system testing and ensure project quality standards are met

  • Assist in preparing method statements, as-built documentation, and operation manuals

  • Support project managers in tracking project schedules, technical issues, and site coordination

  • Attend site meetings and provide technical updates when required

  • Provide post-installation support and troubleshooting

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, IT, or related field

  • 2–5 years of experience in AV systems integration or related industry

  • Experience with professional AV systems and technologies

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, PoE)

  • Familiarity with brands such as Crestron, QSC, Extron, Biamp, Shure, Barco, or LED systems is an advantage

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred

  • Good communication and coordination skills

  • Able and willing to support critical project activities, maintenance windows, and system migrations during weekends or nighttime hours when required

  • Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Skills

  • CTS certification or equivalent AV certifications

  • Experience with broadcast or IP-based media systems

  • Knowledge of Dante, NDI, or SMPTE 2110 workflows

  • Familiarity with safety procedures and site work in Singapore
