PCCW GlobalとIDEALは、2017年Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevensの世界初360度VRライブ放送を行いました。
IDEALは、ピッチサイドに多数のNokia OZO 360°カメラを設置して放送コンテンツを撮影。このカメラはUHD IP信号をコントロールルームに送り、カメラに8つ装備されている2Kレンズそれぞれからの映像をライブ合成し、合成された複数の3D UHDストリームを作成します。
その映像はNow TVにより、利用者のスマートフォンなどの携帯端末、PC、VRヘッドセットにライブ配信されました。
